Chicago throws a Ryder Cup party

To celebrate the Ryder Cup coming to town, Chicago threw a party. A glittering dinner for 1200 people gave way to an evening of entertainment at the Akoo Theatre, hosted by Justin Timberlake, the first ever Team Ambassador to the US Ryder Cup team. The singer and actor – and avid golfer – was clearly thrilled to be involved in the event, acting as Master of Ceremonies.
With entertainment from a local comedy act and TV star George Lopez, plus a full hour long concert set from home-grown superband Chicago, the evening came to a crescendo when Timberlake introduced the US and European Ryder Cup teams to an ecstatic audience. Jose Maria Olazabal’s men brought some Continental style to proceedings wearing elegant Canali midnight-blue herringbone weave wool and silk dinner suits, featuring silk satin lapels, buttons and side stripes on the trousers. In white micro-textured cotton dress shirts with a classic semi-cutaway collar, teamed with midnight blue silk satin bow-ties, the look was finished with black toe-cap shoes in a polished calfskin.
