The 46 year-old from San Sebastian holds the world record for a hold putt, a feat he achieved during the European Team’s Concorde flight to the Ryder Cup in 1999. Striking the ball at one end of the cabin, the ball was in motion for 26.17s before sinking at the other end of the aisle, during which time the Concorde, at 1,270 mph, travelled 9.232 miles.
