Born on New Years Day, 1969, Lawrie won the Open Championship in 1999 and played in the Ryder Cup at Brookline the same year. An ardent Aberdeen FC fan, he cites his sporting heroes as Alex Ferguson and Sandy Lyle, and his favourite car as a Ferrari 550 Maranello.
